Khum Chao Burirat (Maha In) is an example of architecture that combines local and Western

the brickwork, wood processing, and wood entry techniques. With the changes in the economic and social
systems of Chiang Mai during the end of the reign of King Rama V, the building features a half-mortar,
half-timbered structure with exterior stairs. The ground floor is curved brick and plastered around the
balcony. The upper floor has a teak wood floor with a balcony around it, and the roof is a combination of
gable and hipped roofs covered with clay tiles.
In addition to providing architectural knowledge about the building, it offers various services,
including:
Research information/Lanna books.
Information on culture and traditions throughout the year.
Information on the arts.
An architectural library displaying building models.
